Last updated 29 September 2026

These terms apply when you order a sample box or book a wedding cake with The Busy Whisk Bakery Ltd, a company registered in Northern Ireland (company number NI729440), with its registered office at Office 1163, 92 Castle Street, Belfast, BT1 1HE. Please read them before you order. If anything is unclear, email thebusywhiskbakery@gmail.com or call 07907 874369.

Sample boxes

Ordering and payment

  • The price of the box and any postage is shown before you place your order.
  • After you order, we'll email you our bank and Revolut details. Please pay within 48 hours, using your order reference. If we don't receive payment within 48 hours, we may cancel the order.
  • Your order is confirmed once your payment reaches us. We'll email you to let you know.

Flavours

Each week we offer a selection of flavours and you choose 6 for your sample box. Each sample pot is large enough for 2 to share. The selection changes every week. If we ever need to change a flavour in your box, we'll let you know.

Collection and postage

  • Collection: collect from our Lisburn showroom. Once your payment is confirmed, we'll let you know when your box is ready to collect and send you the address. If you can't make that time, please let us know as early as you can and we'll arrange another.
  • Postage: we don't deliver sample boxes by hand, but we post them across Northern Ireland, the rest of the UK and the Republic of Ireland. Please make sure your address is correct and someone can receive the parcel. Postage times depend on the postal service, and we can't be responsible for delays caused by the postal service or an incorrect address.

Cancellations and refunds

  • You can cancel for a full refund at any time before we start baking your box. Just email or call us.
  • Your box is fresh, perishable food made to order, so once we've started baking it we can't accept cancellations or returns. This does not affect your legal rights.
  • If we have to cancel your order, we'll let you know and refund you in full.
  • If your box arrives damaged or something isn't right, please contact us within 24 hours with a photo and we'll put it right.

Wedding cakes

  • The cake builder on this website is just a starting point. We'll agree the final design, size, flavours and price with you and confirm them in writing.
  • Your date is secured once you've accepted your quote and paid the booking deposit. Your quote will set out the deposit, when the rest is due and what happens if you need to cancel or change your plans.
  • We deliver and set up cakes at venues across Ireland. Please make sure we can access the venue at the agreed time and that there's a sturdy, level table ready for the cake. Once your cake is set up, the venue is responsible for it.
  • Some cakes contain supports such as dowels, and some decorations aren't edible. These must be removed before the cake is served. If fresh flowers are used, they are supplied by your florist and aren't food.

Allergens

Our cakes are made in a kitchen that handles gluten, eggs, milk, soya and nuts, and some flavours contain alcohol. We take great care, but we can't guarantee any cake is free from allergens. Please tell us about any allergies before you order, and ask us for full allergen information for any flavour.

Storage

Our cakes are freshly made without preservatives. Please follow the storage and "best enjoyed by" guidance we give you with your order.

Photos

We love sharing our work, so we may photograph your cake and share the photos on our website and social media. If you'd rather we didn't, just let us know.

Our responsibility to you

We will always make your order with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses we couldn't have foreseen, or for delays or problems caused by events outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where it would be unlawful to do so, or affects your legal rights as a consumer.

Your information

Our privacy policy explains how we use the information you give us.

General

These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland. If a dispute can't be resolved between us, the courts of Northern Ireland will deal with it, although if you live elsewhere in the UK or Ireland you may also be able to bring a claim where you live.
