- The flavours in your box, your order total and your order reference
When you send a wedding cake enquiry
- Your names, email address and mobile number (if you give it)

- Your cake ideas and any design you created with our cake builder
When you pay
You pay us by bank transfer or Revolut. We never see or store your card details. We can see the name, amount and reference on payments that reach our account.
When you visit the website
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the website and keep it secure. The website loads its fonts from Google Fonts and shows our Google reviews (including reviewers' profile photos), which means your browser shares your IP address with Google.
How we use your information
- To take and fulfil your order, including confirming payment, arranging collection or postage, and telling you if a flavour sells out. We need this information to carry out our contract with you.
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you book with us, to plan and make your cake. This is in our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and becomes part of our contract with you if you book.
- To contact you by email, phone or WhatsApp about your order or enquiry, using the details you give us.
- To keep business and tax records, which the law requires us to do.
We do not send marketing emails, we do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with trusted services that help us run the business, and only as much as they need:
- Cloudflare hosts this website and stores order and enquiry details.
- Resend sends our order and enquiry emails.
- Google provides our email inbox, the website's fonts and the Google reviews shown on the website.
- WhatsApp, if we message you there about your order.
- Royal Mail or another courier, who receive your name and address if we post your sample box.
- Our bank and accountant, for payments and business records.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as UK approved contract terms.
How long we keep it
- Order and payment records are kept for 6 years, as required for tax purposes.
- Enquiries that don't go ahead are deleted within 2 years.
- If you book a wedding cake with us, we keep your details for 6 years after your wedding, as part of our business records.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie we set is a login cookie for our own admin area, which customers never receive.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong
- ask us to delete your information, where we don't need to keep it
